BRAT Theater Actor's Workshop 2015
Overview: This workshop will cover various aspects of acting including, but not limited to: craft, method, character study, research, memorization, movement, voice and improvisation. Progress will be measured and fed back to the students from BRAT's instructors.
Workshop Goals: The purpose of the BRAT Theater Actor's Workshop is to sharpen the skills of its acting pool, bring individual acting instruction to the participants and offer advanced-level mentored acting instruction and feedback.
Upon successful completion of the workshop, students will be able to:
• Present themselves in a professional manner at all auditions, rehearsal and performances
• Utilize various proven acting techniques to improve their performance on stage
• Understand the basics of improvisational acting and how it applies to their live theater
• Have effective tools for tackling voice, body and character challenges that accompany every role
Enrollment: Open to anyone ages 16 and up
Session 1: Two (2) days a week for three (3) weeks from 6 - 8:30 pm. June 16th, 2015 through July 1st, 2015 at the Canalside Ruins
Session 2: Sunday through Friday, one (1) day a week for six (6) weeks from 6 - 8:30 pm. July 12th through August 21st, 2015 at the Canalside Ruins
Tuition: $120 for each session
Class size: Each session is limited to a maximum of sixteen (16) students on a first-come, first-served basis.
